Pembroke Dock 10 pts Laugharne 20 pts

Well Saturday we travelled to Pembroke dock. The Sun was shining and we were up for a good game (no need for umbrella so horn it is) It was to be a game of two halves. The first half would be all ours and the second-half not so much. It was good to have Steff back from injury and he played well on the wing and made some great clearing kicks to get us back into position.

The first half we played up hill which I thought would not be to our advantage but early on in the game we were awarded a penalty and Matt stepped up to the mark and put over three points. It wasn't long before he had another three when he put over another penalty. Pembroke players were frustrated as their heavy pack were no match for our forwards. Our backs were producing the goods too and Tomos Jameson had a lovely interception on the halfway or just inside our half (depends who's telling the story), running in to score under the posts. Matt converted and we were now flying. Thirteen points to zero!!!! The boys were winning quick ball and Mikey found a little gap when we were pushing them just outside their twenty two , he broke the line, popped it to Owain who went over for another fine try. Taking us in half time with twenty points to nill score. My horn was nearly worn out (back after popular demand).

Second half started and it was getting a little bit heated. Especially after a few yellow cards had been given out. It got out of hand at one stage when one of our players (Think it was Tomos Rees) made a tackle and went to ground and a number of the Pembroke Dock boys could be seen to put the boot in. Tiggs the hit man Macabe was not impressed and had words with the offending players (that's what lines men are supposed to do ðŸ¤”, isn't it?) Pembroke were down to thirteen players at one point. But it wasn't going all our way and they started clawing points back, making use of a couple of big centres to score two good tries. Our pack dominated the second half and could have had a penalty try as we consistently drove them back. However their hooker cricked his neck and would you believe it they didn't have anyone else to step in, so the scrums had to be uncontested and we failed to benefit from all the hard work.

Final score Pembroke Dock 10 Laugharne 20.

Had a nice chat with some of the fans and had a couple of pints and we were away, as I promised my mate John that I would meet him in the pub for a pint, have a chat about the game and possibly him getting a game sometime for Laugharne (I told him that we already had a good back line and we were top heavy on Bancyfelin boys!!!).

Anyway Thanks to our boys for a good win. Thanks to Tiggs for protecting our boys, Thanks to to all the coaching staff for keeping our boys on top of their game , thanks to our Physio Louise for keeping our boys fit to play, thanks to Julie for the stats to keep our boys on track,

Thanks to our supporters and Sponsors for keeping our boys going.
