LAND ADJACENT TO LAUGHARNE PRIMARY SCHOOL, LAUGHARNE, SA334SQ PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT INCLUDING 42 NO. DWELLINGS

A new outline planning application W/35450 has now been formally given to Carmarthenshire County Council for the above development.

The previous application was: W/09082 - PROPOSED HOUSING DEVELOPMENT, EXTENSION AND ALTERATIONS TO RECREATION FIELD, TOGETHER WITH LAUGHARNE COMMUNITY BENEFITS - Full Granted 03/09/2008 S106 Agreement Signed.

This application does not seem to include any of the community benefits Mr & Mrs Thomas previously signed up to and our previous correspondence is only recorded in the Pre-application Consultation Report.

The County Council LDP Tier3-proforma for Planning Document (attached) supporting the inclusion of this land uses the community benefits and the 106 Agreement as a reason to leave it in and so the County Council should support us in our efforts to secure these benefits.

The planning details can now be found on the County Council web-site.

It seems that this application is an attempt to secure planning without the promised community benefits and the club again feels that it is important that the whole community comes together and strongly objects to this development on the grounds that Mr & Mrs Thomas agreed to those community benefits that where signed up to in the Local Agreement and previous 106 Agreement.

The County Council press notice expires on the 31st May, 2017 so we ask for your full support and help secure the community benefits.
